lyrics
I like the light for me
I like the light in front of me
Blindly steering in the dust
Tell me is it fed by the lust
Navigation built right in
Knowing where to go begin
Straight ahead out in the night
Nothing matters but the light
Instinct, was the ground found?
Buzzing and moving around?
Look ahead - what have you found?
Messing with that deep color
Say it to electric thunder
Flashy, like a talking head
Is the ending ever dead?
Look ahead - what do you dread?
Deep emotion, are you sure?
Could the light become a cure?
Moon is melting, is it true?
Make a mirror, of the view?
Look ahead - what do you do?
Outside I saw it, looked just like me, but with purpose
Clone with intention, it looked just like me, flapping, flying into a dream
I like the light for me
I like the light in front of me
Caught up in a brief pause
Spiritual and deep cause
Gluttony and excess
Running from the real stress
Worth it in the long run
Listening to no one
Gaze in one direction home
Searching for connection zone
Look ahead - what have you done?
Solitary, reckless
Feverish and selfish
Wanting what you want now
Never thinking what, how
Look ahead - what have you found?
Deep emotion, are you sure?
Could the light become a cure?
Moon is growing, is it true?
Watch out right in front of you!
Look ahead - What do you do?
Outside I saw it, looked just like me, but with purpose
Clone with intention, it looked just like me, flapping, flying into a dream
Circling a light with no reason to be, just true attraction
Moth with direction, deadly it may be, drinking from that steady beam
2nd listen: a necessary antidote to the claustrophobic desolation that mainstream music has been since 1994.
1st listen: brutally wholesome and melodiously harsh. nofatclips
Opener absolutely rips. Falls into the ranks of tracks like “Dance” by ESG, “Eisbaer” by Grauzone, “Damaged Goods” by Gang of Four or like the album description says Kleenex. This is some really good stuff. Favorite song is the opener but dedicate “Blue” to my friend Blue who lost her life at 22, she would have loved this album. TheBloodofChrist
Dark but designed to move you, this Dallas group uses menacing synths and popping live drum to make heavily rhythmic post-punk. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 13, 2019
Twitchy, effects-heavy post-punk grooves give way to psychedelic surf-rock delirium on the Toronto quartet's dreamy-yet-doomy second LP. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 25, 2024
